i dont know if cargo cults were ever real in the original context but it describes rightoids well. theyre not materially or emotionally benefiting from evil, or even reliably brutalising or terrorising minorities, but they think maybe if they post enough then the man from TV will let them be dirty harry
actually i think cargo cults are more logical than whatever this is. With cargo cults there was cargo once. Fascist narratives have just never been true because they're social technologies for turning exploited people against eachother when they become too much of a threat to established power
