Today's excitement is going to be two team leads working on a common codebase on hostile changes arguing over whether a merge did or didn't break the build.
That this is even a Thing makes me unhappy. I want to take over the build process, declare ownership over it, and tell everyone else to fuck off while I fix shit. The only reason I'm not is that my manager's expecting me to be customer-facing problem troubleshooter in October, so this is going to get worse before it gets better.
