LB: I work for a company doing online transcoding and publishing for content providers. Products like OwnVideo are a direct challenge to our business model as it stands today, because we assume a few singular pipelines with defined-in-advance endpoints. I would love to see OwnVideo or something like it succeed, even knowing it could directly hurt my company's bottom line unless we adapt to the possibility of building short-term-use transcoding pipelines on demand.
Of course, my company works for the most part with live linear data feeds, and this is all event data, so there's no _direct_ competition, but enough five-minute videos intersperced with the latest binged series starts to look a lot like live linear at a distance.
