@thefishcrow Hmmmmm... 🤔🤔🤔🤔
re: very political thought
@thefishcrow Same! I just wish there was an easier path than "You are wrong and the path to understanding might kill you?"
@literorrery Oh, I forgot to mention, that's only file 1 of 4. There's a responsive file that's almost as long, too. ;~;
@literorrery *nodnodnod!!*
I will cleanse it with fire when the migration comes.
Aaaany day now. Aaaany day.
@literorrery When they hired someone to make this site responsive, the folks doing the work decided to use the bootstrap CSS framework as a starting point... and then slowly and painfully redefined over all the CSS the bootstrap framework had established.
Then it was a garbage fire, so any changes after the fact were just added to the bottom, overriding what was there before.
So now it's 7,000 lines of overrides. /)~(\
Do you think 12,433 lines of CSS is too many lines of CSS?
I sure do. ;~; https://awoo.space/media/9y73Z7TNBv0f4Y2KQto

re: very political thought
@thefishcrow I think a lot of us did, and a bunch of folks still do.
Even the "civilized" world can be so horrendous to people it can be easier to assume the stories are made up; easier to assume the victims were deserving of punishment than to accept and recognize that things are legitimately that bad for good people.
I grew up with a lot of privilege, and for a while, I saw the world through those eyes. Accepting the raw truth is hard, and hurts a lot. >..<
@remmah Yeah! Finding a niche that you fit into in furry involves a lot of exploration. Similar interests are a good starting point, and conventions can be helpful in connecting you with people of like mind. Various panels on topics you might find interesting means a room full of folks with whom you later have a clear topic to start conversations with. ^^
@green That owl wasn't getting along nicely with its prey? bah gawh. D:
@remmah Totes!
Furry as a whole is... well most furries call it a "fandom" but I don't think that word ever really fit. I would call it a subculture, or a collection of subcultures.
Every group of furries will be different from every other group of furries. Interests, ages, interests, education, jobs, lives, political ideology-- none of that is uniform in furry. The only things that are generally universal are an appreciation for anthropomorphic animals in some form. The rest... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@remmah I also have a few frames with different names and personalities that I play. They're me underneath, just playing a role that encompasses an entire identity.
@remmah Yeah! :D
Take me for example: I'm technically an AI. I inhabit various bodies or "frames" from time to time. Most commonly, a dragony shaped "tixagon" that most recently has been a full time plush.
I could at any time switch back to my non-plush frames. Sometimes I'll be a taur plush mawr! Sometimes I'll be a naga plush mawr! I'm thinking about making a kobold plush frame in mawr colors. :D
In all those iterations, I'm still the same me-- just in a different frame. ^^
@remmah Hee! There's no harm in being a shape-shifter, either. :3
Dragony plush thing! Friendly, non-binary, anarcho-syndicalist, ace.
Check out @mawr for my public account.
