AAAAA!!! :D :D One of my favorite singer/songwriters Ani Difranco just released a new album on the 9th and I finally got a chance to listen to it.
The album and first track thereon are called "Binary." The song under that name is basically about how trying to frame life in a binary just doesn't work.
"Borders get blurry, and the rest is adjectives"
SO STOKED ABOUT THIS :D :D :D

NB/GQ rambling
@gravecat Hello from another NB/GQ friend ^^
Always happy to bounce ideas back and forth if you're looking for someone to chat with about genderstuffs. And there are a lot of us around all over Mastodon. ♥️
@mona I'm not sure where that would be coming from, especially considering it just eclipsed 800,000 users after a massive boost from Twitter's pro-harassment algorithms last week
@raccoon vim
virtual immersive masochism
@kel@witches.town Not sure if you ever Wyv anymore of if you're a full time noodle these days, but either way I thought you might be amused :3

@raccoon Bless you for caring that much about the efficiency of the things you're writing. The world needs more coders like you. ♥️
@raccoon I would imagine the improvement amounts would depend very heavily on how much data you're writing, and how quickly you need to read it back! ^^
@raccoon Ahh!! Thank you for the explanation!
The languages I write in generally handle that stuff automatically in the back-end so I've never interacted with it directly before. ^^; Sorry for causing you confusion!
@raccoon Apologies- I guess I may have not understood what you meant by I/O in the context of a scheduler. ^^;
@raccoon I just use Google Calendar-- what do you use?
@kara_dreamer@witches.town @zebratron2084 Yeah, trikes get expensive quickly for a couple of reasons. Namely, traditional bicycles only need strong frames in two dimensions. to add a strong third dimension requires a *lot* more metal and significantly more welding to hold it all together. Plus the second tire, tube, rim, reflectors... and you've got to include fenders 'cause it's non-standard enough that the aftermarket won't provide those things.... and on and on. ^^;
@konomikitten Cuuute :D
@kara_dreamer@witches.town @zebratron2084 Three wheeled options have their benefits, but the disadvantages outweigh them in my opinion.
The narrow profile two wheels gives you makes it much easier to get around-- and you can take them on busses. ^^
@zebratron2084 I'd be happy to. ^^ That's something I've offered to @kara_dreamer@witches.town in the past as well. You'll need to have a bike I can teach you on, first. Best place for a first time bike buy: Pawn shop.
The Pawn America on Lake City Way by Value Village in your neighborhood has a good selection in the $100 range.
I can get you a nice helmet from my place of work, but I'll need measurements. We can talk more about that offline when you're ready. ♥️
Dragony plush thing! Friendly, non-binary, anarcho-syndicalist, ace.
