Tbh knowledge should be free to the oppressed and guarded from the powerful, the opposite of how things are now
A thing I’m learning about art is that it doesn’t matter if a bunch of the details of your piece are kind of broken or don’t make sense as long as the overall effect you wanted was achieved. Sometimes you can look at a totally broken thing and still instantly understand what it’s supposed to be anyway.
I’ve started zooming in on all kinds of art lately and it’s like looking behind a curtain. Everybody’s shit is broken, y’all
it sucks that now everything's super digital and you don't get the really satisfying feel of operating shit like typewriters and film reel motors and mechanical shit, you just kinda click and it pops up
i miss it
I half remember these symbols from a book on magical symbols I was leafing through in my university library’s basement over a decade ago. Does anyone know where they come from? I remember it’s to do with numbers magic. It’s possibly From Hermeticism?
looking for work, boosts okay
I am a rather experienced software engineer who could use some means of actually supporting myself in the long term. Self-directed open source development and sporadic game development/music composition aren’t cutting it.
My resume is at https://beesbuzz.biz/resume and I mostly enjoy working on the service/backend side of interactive/social media stuff. I am not willing to relocate from Seattle at this time, but I would be absolutely fine with working remotely.
