Poem about mental health (~/-)
I'm so tired of that numb feeling
The one that erases all memory
of having felt anything in years
the one that feels like eternity;
numbness everlasting
At first it's a blessing
taking away the pain
sheltering you from emotional harm
but as days become weeks
it lingers as a reminder
that something isn't right
like a "service mind soon" light
on the dashboard of the soul.
Maybe
If I cover up the light with tape
and pretend everything's okay…
it will be
someday.
