I wonder if Sony will at some point try making a handheld again
@noiob I think they're done, they can't possibly compete with Switch since Sony's style is console quality on handheld. Sure tech wise they might be able to out do them but Nintendo has their console output which Sony will never match.
@fillertrack I've seen a video where the author claimed that the Vita was supposed to do what the Switch does nowadays, as in be a Playstation to take on the go with the same games and stuff. They never got it to that point while Nintendo was like "eh let's just make it one device, no one cares about our system's performance anyways"
@fillertrack yeah, it was just really poor execution of a kind of solid idea? At some point they bundled in Vitas with PS4s lol
@noiob the problem with that is Sony never really went in on it. Sure plenty of indie games did that but Sony didn't follow up in a meaninful way. What games even really did it? MLB The Show and Playstation All Stars? Not really big hitters. Plus there was the fact you needed two devices yeah.
