I only use VLC to play the mp3s I have spread out throughout multiple backups I don't need a music library rn

@noiob also vlc is just not good at having a music library or sensible playlist ui, imo. it's honestly just better for video and not audio.

musicbee is a fantastic audio player and i recommend you try it out

I'd probably use clementine if I had to keep track of an offline library, it's available on all OSs
