I'm playing the Octopath Traveller demo and honestly the narrow focus is already kinda annoying
@noiob I keep seeing all this glowing praise from the fanboys, and I'm just like... did I play the same game? At least the critical reviews are more in line with my own personal impression, which makes me feel a little better.
@tobascodagama I think it's pretty neat so far, but I probably still won't buy it since it's not really a genre I like playing a lot
@noiob It's a genre that I think I like a lot more in theory than in practice. Then again, the only Final Fantasy I actually finished was the FFIII remaster for 3DS. I thought both IV and VI were a bit too padded out; having to independently level all those different characters was just a chore. (Also Kefka is a boring villain. Fight me, FF fans.)
@tobascodagama see, I never played any of those, just thinking of how long those games are puts me off tbh
@noiob I bet this is going to be a Dragon Age: Inquisition kind of thing where six months later everyone wakes up at the end of the honeymoon period and is like, "Oh, that? It was ok, I guess."
