The Pikachu movie was a heck of a lot of fun which is all it needed to be

like the "good" megacorp boss literally tells the reporter to tell people that he's the good guy and he's gonna fix everything and they main characters are just like "woah neat she finally got a paid job in the everything-is-perfect-love-our-corporate-overlords-machine"
The movie really makes me wanna play the game since the story feels like it'd work so much better in one
(and I'm not saying it doesn't work in the movie, it's just obvious that they had to leave out some stuff)

My biggest problem was how they touched upon "hey a corporate city where the media is controlled by the corporation and even the cops go on little errands for the corporation might not be great?" and then they save the day and nah I'm sure it'll be fine
