@xenon sounds like you can root but you'll trip Safetynet which will make a bunch of apps, especially stuff like banking apps or Nintendo games not run at all (because they know you rooted). I wouldn't really recommend it.
@xenon also I just realized that unlocking the bootloader already trips safetynet (and the only way of basically faking it that I know of is to install Magisk, that doesn't seem to be an option on the S10+)
@xenon hm, I'm just reading that carrier-free Samsung phones might come with the bootloader already unlocked? that sounds weird because it's basically a security risk, but also Samsung phones work a little different than the phones I've worked which (they use Odin, not fastboot)
