i wonder if there's any game i should actually try with the steam controller
so far i've just tried it on the desktop and i like none of the modes for the touchpad it seems,

@noiob okay i get that the steam controller is apparently good for mouse based games but there's no way i would play THAT with anything but a mouse,

@MochiWaifu yeah but it's a good benchmark since you get a full custom-built config by Valve

just hop into a bot match and try it, the fact that it only has motion aim when you actually touch the right trackpad makes it even snappier than Splatoon

@noiob fine but i'll be honest, i'm pretty sure no matter how good it is, it'll make me ditch it :D

@MochiWaifu 🤷

I only played one shooter with it (since I don't have a setup where I can't use a mouse), which was RE: Revelations 2 in Co-op and it made aiming much less of a chore (I suck even more with a controller than with a mouse)

@noiob cs:go is the one single shooter i used to be good at, mostly because i played it religiously with friends x)

@MochiWaifu those are impressive numbers

I have no idea how I got to these btw, I used to play gun game from time to time but I absolutely hate the default mode 😄

also yes, I played too much Tomb Raider

@noiob okay yeah i tried it and csgo becomes literally unplayable for me with the steam controller, even with medium bots

of course a lot of this is just me not being used to it, but i don't mind playing console shooters either, i feel like the touchpad is really weird. i guess i need to try games that do not need precise inputs lol

@MochiWaifu I found the dual-stage triggers really useful in rocket league (I guess any game with a boost would probably work though), and you can basically ignore the pads for that game

@noiob @MochiWaifu I feel like portal might be better, also try a strategy game or summat
