Okay here's ten games I played this year (not necessarily released this year) that I really enjoyed
[in no particular order, this toot has rich text]
Outer Wilds: if you play one game off this list play Outer Wilds, it's that good
RE2 remake: an amazing reimagining of a classic, play this or emulate the original (or both 😄)
Goose Game: just plain fun and I really liked the timed challenges too
2064: Read Only Memories Integral (2015, Switch version 2018): a really good cyberpunk story with a lot of lovable characters
Mario Maker 2: I'd recommend this just for the amazing single player campaign but the user-created levels are even better. Plus the latest update added some cool stuff
Tetris 99
and Puyo Puyo Tetris (2014, Switch 2017): Because for some reason it took me until now to finally appreciate Tetris
Smash Ultimate (2018): with the right set of friends this game is hours of multiplayer fun
Watch Dogs 2 (2016): A group of young hackers fighting back against corporate surveillance. Scratches that open-world itch while giving the option for non-lethal play most of the time
The Witness (2016): A nice, relaxing brain-teasing puzzle game. Jon Blow is still a pretentious douche
