trying Geforce Now on Android: nothing beats the trusty wired xbox 360 gamepad at compatibility

· · Web · 1 · 0 · 1

sorry for the shitty picture, that's courtesy of my first-gen iPad mini which is apparently the best camera I have when my phone's not available

here's some Destiny and Overwatch screenshots from GeForce now

performance felt pretty good, it's hard to tell how much lag there was because of the small screen plus the fact that I don't play either games with a controller, but yeah, I could get used to this for some quick play sessions

the free tier of GeForce now gives you like 1h a day, or you can get three months of the subscription thing free, idk if I wanna bother with that

this is on my LG G6 over 5GHz wifi on a 60Mbit/s connection

@noiob according to the GF it's not even 1h a day, but 1hour a session, so you can relog and play another hour apparently? and then rinse and repeat

@noiob might be a pretty good service for something like civ on the go

@netrunner if you have decent internet action games totally work

civ probably needs a bigger screen than I had
