then they went ahead and made the slim variants not stackable too

same thing about the OG Xbox, the Xbox 360 redesign, the Xbox Series X (technically still a box but very impractical for stacking)

exempt: Xbox One because it needs ventilation at the top, any cartridge-using top-loader because that's the best design for loading cartridges, the Switch because it's got a good reason and anyways it's relatively small, the GameCube because it's baby

new idea: all consoles should come in standard rackmount sizes

honorable mention: Sega, for making consoles that are designed to stack

@plsburydoughboy I like how whoever made this picture was so salty about the PS2 being the vastly more successful console that they didn't manage to cut it out correctly

it's just two rectangles on top of one another, this is what peak console and DVD player performance looks like
