One thing has been puzzling me for a long time. Why aren't ideograms (chines/korean/japanese and many others) available to create an account (in general on the internet)? Why does it absolutely have to be letters?

@Stereoscopic computer software hasn't used Unicode for the longest time (it's a bit more complicated than ASCII/ ANSI since one byte isn't necessarily one character)
