Because:
- I want to build a pc to learn about doing that and to get better performance
- My current pc is a tiny pc which has a discrete gpu but it's pretty pointless because it's like a laptop gpu and the thermals are bad
So:
- Building a pc that's just got a slightly better CPU and significantly better thermals by being a normal sized computer instead of the size of a book might be a big enough improvement
And then I could add a gpu later when they're less expensive
@masklayer build a new PC and put your old GPU in it, that's what I did
@masklayer got a link? it's gotta be PCI-E
@masklayer that's a pretty normal PCI-E connector, you'd need a different cooler and a different bracket
@masklayer dunno if those are easy to get but that card should slot into any motherboard, it's just gonna be awkward
