I tried backwards long jumping in Mario 64 on the endless stairs, clipped through something and /hit the Wet-Dry World painting/??
Okay turns out the Wet-Dry World thing seems to be somewhat reproducible. Just did it again.

When we try to BLJ without turbo, oftentimes it's acting like we let go of the crouch button (L? Z? whatever) and doing stand-up jumps instead. That's weird.
Is that a normal failure mode, or are we doing something wrong?
@IceWolf Z, L is inaccessible when holding the N64 controller with the left hand on the analog stick
@noiob Thanks! Back when we played it as a pup it was on the Wii Virtual Console with a Gamecube controller, we never had an actual N64.
