it's SBC, meh. Would be really nice if they supported some low-latency protocol, or even just LDAC

@noiob Bluetooth audio is a mess, so I don't blame them for sticking to SBC, although I guess they could've added AAC, they likely already have a license

They aren't going to get an LDAC license from Sony, or aptX from Qualcomm

Also, fun fact, in practice the implementations are so garbage that low latency codecs end up with almost the same latency, at least that's the case on Android devices

@ChlorideCull are you sure LDAC requires a license? it's in Linux and AOSP

@noiob hm, okay, yeah it seems that they only charge money for sinks (so headphones) but not sources

still, because of the oddball infrastructure on the switch they would need to implement it themselves, which is a hard sell, considering how limited implementations are
