@noiob damn, looks way more handy than having a bunch of CD-Rs and doing the fucky disc swap technique
@Siph I mean you can get a chip, there's an open-source one these days, but those drives really like to go bad
@noiob yeah that too, and still, burning CD-Rs is annoying
@Siph there's something about hunting for the good blanks and a slow burner to get them to register but yeah it's a huge hassle
@noiob at a time around here in garage sell people used to sell them for like 5-10€ with controllers and sometimes a game or two, back when they weren’t retro enough
