sure, imperial units are annoying but you know what's more annoying? feet and inches for one measurement because most converters can't handle that and then I have to do math. Have y'all heard of decimals?
@noiob I uhhh use an app when I'm shifting between unit systems.
In my job, parts are all either in mm (fine), fractional inches (fine) or decimal inches which usually have nice fractional equivalents (fine). Mixing feet and inches is Not Great.
I'll comfortably use either inches or mm in my personal projects depending on which units are more convenient for the relevant tooling.
