@noiob Yeah, I tried taking a screenshot afterwards to see if it was disabled, and was surprised to find it in fact wasn't.
I recorded my entire play session in full 1080p60 for posterity. They said I couldn't share anything, they said nothing about saving video for myself.
@onfy they don't let you post screenshots straight from the console, but they do let you send them to a phone, sooo
@noiob wait what? I've never even seen that restriction before.
I'm tempted but scared to see if you're pulling my leg.
@onfy I've posted my friend code before but like, how are they even gonna find these files
@noiob Seeing as this was a test to work everything out, I assume Nintendo was monitoring every single thing every single player did while playing.
@onfy they can't monitor what I do with these files after copying them off my Switch
also that'd be immense amounts of data, plus it was a network stress test, I believe them when they say that, it makes sense with the tight time gates
@noiob Yeah, seeing how the servers only seemed to crash the first few minutes, they definitely were trying to adjust their online capabilities accordingly.
However, I believe since they note there might be bugs, that they're also collecting play data to use as a cheap was to bug test the game.
And yeah, it would probably be quite hard to do what I proposed. But this is Nintendo! If anyone's both capable and petty enough to hunt people down that way, it's them.
@noiob I wonder if they would (probably could) figure which account a video was being recorded with and ban it.
