@dogo what are you talking about, stock android 12 is absolutely gorgeous
@noiob the parts of it that are updated are really nice yeah, but some apps along with the app drawer feel to me like theyre still in android 11 visuals and it kinda clashes.
that's a personal thought tho and more than anything im saying this out of the desire for android phones/oems to have some kind of uniqueness to em again
@dogo I mean that's fair, I'm always pleasantly suprised when an app comes with a material you look
idk about the app drawer, I use a custom launcher
@dogo I use Lawnchair, mostly because I can't set duckduckgo as search engine on Pixel launcher and I got used to it on my LG G6. They have a very early version that does all the fancy quickswitch stuff but it's not where I want it to be yet, and honestly I care very little about whether apps shrink into their icon when closed
@dogo I think Nova does the transitions properly? I don't like that they lock gestures behind a paywall
people have reported that there's lag issues when using gestures on third-party launchers but it's perfectly smooth to me
@noiob oh yeah i forgot nova does that..
idk about stutters/lag, all i noticed in my play with it is just the transition being broken
@dogo hm, it doesn't look broken to me, stuff just shrinks into the center and sometimes swiping into multitasking opens the app drawer for a sec
@noiob ah nice, yeah a friend on Lineage also dailies that. I think Nova is also starting to implement that quickswitch stuff atm
