I'm glad Framework is continuing to do their thing but man these inefficient Intel chips are really holding their laptops back from being really good

Andrew notes a few problems with the Linux support on this one and it seems like this is a laptop that is probably ideal for running Arch Linux so you can easily get the latest stable kernel version that has support for Alder Lake E & P cores

its probably been about 10y since i've run Linux on the desktop but the problem of "hardware too new" to have good Linux support is still a thing

some things never change lol

all that said, it really is quite impressive how well thought out the repairability/modularity of these Framework laptops are

okay so how bad of an idea is to get a base model Framework laptop and use it as a server machine?
