my biggest pet peeves in tv shows and such is when phone screens don't turn off when someone holds them up to their ear. Phones have proximity sensors specifically for that
@Siph context clues
@noiob (dw I was joking)
@Siph me too
@noiob ugh remembering before this was a thing and cutting off a call with your ear (or just faulty ones I guess)
@LottieVixen it's been a thing since the first iPhone! and phones without the sensor usually just lock the screen when the call connects
@noiob I guess I had bad luck on android then huh.. but damn thats cool.
(or maybe it was corners cut on the ipod touch i had I'm not sure)
or im just misremembering this whole thing in which case if so... im sorry
@LottieVixen the iPod Touch never had an earpiece speaker afaik
@noiob what.... in that case I'm misremembering... was an ipod touch 3-4g i forget which but if not then... welp yeah im sorry
@noiob but then how do you know that the phone is phoning!
