the screenshot is less impressive cuz it doesn't have the round cutout

@trwnh just wear os. Xiaomi and Oppo have made square ones but I'd wait for someone to make one with Wear OS 3, it's a huge improvement

also I got this watch specifically because it was round, because watches should be round because it doesn't look like a computer on my wrist and I'm not actually using it for web browsing so it doesn't matter

@trwnh idk I find the apple watch's design ugly and boring. A watch is a fashion accessory as much as it's a tool. I'm not reading paragraphs of text on my wrist, I'm looking at the time, the weather, a quick notification

@trwnh you can see one at a time, they's minimized and you can tap to see all of it

tbh I've read entire emails on the thing, with the crown scrolling incredibly smoothly it's honestly pretty nice

@trwnh I mean that's true but I'm already carrying a big square

@trwnh I used a solar-powered watch, the Casio WVA-430E (fully digital, the hands are driven by a computer) for the longest time and it ruined digital watches for me, hands are so much nicer

@trwnh I got used to it at school because it's so much easier to work with 45/5/15 min blocks on a dial

@trwnh no solar charging on there but I mean it lasts a week on a full charge

@trwnh a classic casio will show you most of that and last years off of a coin cell, have you looked into casio mods? there's some really cool drop-in boards that let you customize the functionality

@trwnh pretty nice. I wanted to get one of those calculator watches, they're still around, but they only have inverted displays
