@onfy I mean it was sold as a "teaser" or sth. I don't think it's a bad thing either, it can stand on its own as a bite-sized mission that has a lot of replay value, I'm just saying Toby Fox could've easily charged money for the first two chapters of Deltarune but he didn't and I think that's really nice of him
@onfy also I can't think of any off the top of my head but games have done the "the demo is a different thing than the final game, but the same engine and characters" so you'd get some extra content if you play both
@noiob Yeah, but it's usually intended as a nice little bonus or joke, and also is for free. Monkey Island and Half-Life did this.

@onfy Toby Fox basically lucked into being able to make the most self-indulgent, cringe meme stuff he wants and it's glorious and I love it
@noiob I don't feel like it counts as being the same game... though I guess it kinda sucks as a policy.
