I'm sure it's fairly trivial to most techies but I'm pleased that I've been able to make a functioning NAS using a fresh installation of Ubuntu on a HP Microserver which has 4 drive bays with 4x4tb drives which I've configured in a RAID5 array giving me an extra 10tb to use on my network.

I've only configured Samba so far but I could add in more functionality as I go. It's just nice to have something I can play around with an experiment on
