hey "git should be done with mailing lists" people

how the fuck are we supposed to search for previously reported issues

hot take: mailing lists aren't actually inherently better. Support them as an option. Don't make people use them.

looking at Chiaki to see if a bug's been previously reported

"repo has moved to [sourcehut link]"

*goes to sourcehut link*

"alright where do we find the previously reported issues?...oh right this is sourcehut, there IS NONE."

...but also like seriously, actual question: how do the "use a mailing list" people expect us to search for previously reported issues??

@frostwolf public mailing lists usually have public archives somewhere

@frostwolf I don't even know what sourcehut is but I regularly stumble across mailing lists for Linux stuff online when researching issues

@noiob it's Drew DeVault's githubalike that has no issues pages or anything and expects people to contribute to projects with email.

@frostwolf ah okay if he's behind it I'm not surprised lmao
