TIL: You can create a Quick Action (=Service) using Automator to start the screen saver, then set a keyboard shortcut for it (like F19), to quickly lock your screen while still making it obvious that you're there and using your computer.

Good to lock the computer from unauthorized access yet making it clear to colleagues that you’re going to the loo, not ending for the day.

(I knew most of the disparate bits, but wasn’t aware Automator had "Start Screen Saver”)

@noiob No, but that's always awkward with a multi-monitor setup and easy to accidentally trigger when trying to get the mouse out of the way of fullscreen video etc.
