imagine saying that you wash your clothes with linux, and you mean it in the very literal way (your washing machine runs on Linux and your laundry detergent is named Linux)
@luna tbh I would be suprised if there weren't a ton of washing machines running Linux or even Android
@noiob tbh same (tho ours still runs… it’s own proprietary mess because it only needs 5 seconds to cold boot (because for some reason we always cut the power from the washing machine if we don’t use it))
@luna I don't own the washing machine I use but I'm kinda glad it's so old it only has a simple microcontroller
my parents' way newer model may display the time remaining but it also makes you use horrible touch keys to click through menus to select the temperature and it still can't send me a push notification if the laundry is done. useless.

we also have those awfrible touch keys to set things like the temperature, RPM, or even the built-in dryer and holy shit this is just the worst
