how is Telegram's implementation of Stories the most annoying one I've seen so far?

just jam it into existing UI components, it's definitely not distruptive! It'll fit right in between the obnoxious reaction animations and animated stickers you can't stop from animating, and did I mention that single emoji messages still get turned into some arbitrary bullshit and you can't turn it off?

@noiob you can turn off the Big Emoji thing by going into the settings and turning off Big Emoji

took me forever to realize that's what they mean by that but it's improved my quality of life so much since i finally did 🙃

@wolfe I know. I have it off. I can't turn it off for the other person tho and one day I'll send an innocuous emoji and they'll see like, an ahegao face or sth (remember what 🍑 and 🍆 were before Apple gave them a slap on the wrist?)
