At the moment I am torn between Fedora and Debian 12.
Therefore I have to ask stupid:
- If I want to use Linux on the laptop and always have an up-to-date GNOME, would Fedora be the better choice?

It is becoming more and more apparent that Linux will be my main system. I like macOS, but it's becoming more and more just an iPad clone.

So maybe the solution will be....
iMac for the family.
Linux laptop for dad.

My Macbook Air M1 will still run for a while.

@inlovewithpda if you always want an up-to-date Gnome you want a rolling-release distro, but definitely not Debian where stuff is already outdated on release. I have daily driven testing for a while but I don't know if I would recommend it, stuff did break occasionally

@inlovewithpda (I can't say anything about Fedora because I've never used it)
