HEY PC FRIENDSSDS:
my new tower has 5 fans, and the board only has 2 power slots for em. from what I'm reading, I can get some kinda power splitter from the PSU, but they'll just be running 24/7
is there a thing I can put in to split power to 5 fans and control speed curves? preferably not through the motherboard, i have no idea how people make fans work -v-

I'm not sure why you don't want control to go via the motherboard? You should be able to both set curves in the UEFI config or run software that controls them from Windows
