computing purchase
Woohoo! My new (used =:) iPad Pro has been dropped off by the seller, and should be arriving tomorrow. ^_^ No accessories, but I don't really need another USB power supply, and I've got a couple long USB C cables arriving.
It's the third gen 11", M1 based, with 1TB storage. The extra (I currently have 256GB) will be welcome, but it's the extra RAM I'll routinely be thankful for - I've had 4GB, which does well, but means webpages can get evicted easily if you're doing plenty else with it. The lower storage models have 8GB, but the 1 & 2TB variants have 16GB for some reason I shan't quibble with. =:)
(I was tempted by the 12.9" models, but they're about 50% extra weight - given I hold mine a lot, I didn't want to reckon with that on a sustained basis)
Given the MBP has a 2015 era Intel, this'll be the most powerful device in the apartment. =:D
re: computing purchase
@porsupah iPad pros still come with power supplies?
@noiob They're cute! Love the swappable pins for localisation, too - elegant.
I might get one for it specifically, but it sounds like their charging tops out at 29W, which isn't all that much greater than the supplies I have anyway.
@noiob Ah! I've only seen the US & UK variants. Cute!
@porsupah never mind, I completely misremembered, they totally gave me one, it's just USB-C
I hoard the lil 1A USB-A ones
