hm.
newest nvidia drivers refuse to install. i select win 11 x64, rtx 3070, desktop, game ready driver, it downloads, i try to install, it says "nope no nvidia card here m8" despite it currently having an nvidia driver that DID install, but is out of date. Trying the one that bg3 suggests. since the newest one is.... not working
YEP.
Just tried to install the 536.67 driver, which is the exact driver i CURRENTLYT HAVE, which Nvidia Control Panel says is the DCH version (because the last standard version without DCH was from 2021 what the fuck I am NOT installing a driver THAT old fuck off) and it fails saying I don't have compatible hardware waht even the fuck is going on
@Nine have you tried cold rebooting? though I'm guessing it's some conflict between the driver and the installer, DDU is probably your best friend
@noiob yeah this is from a cold start this morning. I don't use George experience because I get frustrated with needless bollocks shitting up my PC to but as a result I never get notified of new drivers, so I have to remember to go find them when I can. It wasn't that long ago I got the current version of my driver but it's been like a couple weeks so of course there's like five newer drivers, and I can't even install older dch ones now suddenly
@Nine @noiob for automatically checking new drivers I use this: https://github.com/ElPumpo/TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker there's a link in the readme that explains how to run it whenever you log into your computer
I agree, fuck George Experience
