In which situation is it even reasonable to say "not unlike"

If only! We had a word! To express the idea that something is NOT UNLIKE something else!

(I'm watching hbomb's plagiarism video and inbetween being mad at the plagiarism, I'm mad at how much legitimate stuff is worded in ways that make it HARDER to read)

(The "not unlike" was actually a simplification, the line that made me mad was "not entirely dissimilar to", which, fuck off)

@noiob What. No? I'm criticizing people who say a million complicated words to sound smart when they could have expressed the thing more simply and accessibly. I have genuine trouble parsing sentences like this
