@noiob gonna be so ugly with the Fortnite branding over it.

@Vordus I doubt this is gonna be an official Fortnite product

@noiob Pretty quick turnaround considering that Harmonix only announced potential controller support, like, a week ago.

@Vordus the game has controller support, nothing needs to be done on Epic's side to make this work (you just have to translate the button labels in your head)

@Vordus guitar hero controllers just press regular controller buttons, they can easily make a controller with remappable buttons (or just rely on Fortnite Festival's remapping feature that I heard exists).

controller support just means the game tells you to hit the green button to confirm

@noiob okay, but surely that only applies to the 13% of the userbase that plays on PC?

@Vordus no? third-party controllers are a thing on consoles (Xbox might be a problem since they recently stared blocking third-party hardware)

@noiob It's PDP, so they're not going to make anything that isn't platform-licensed

@noiob Okay, looking at the evidence, this is going to be licensed in some way or another by Epic.

I'm not saying this merely because of the timing, I'm saying this because Harmonix still owns the patents to the Guitar Hero/Rock Band controllers, and Epic has a LOT of lawyers.

@Vordus okay, but that has nothing to do with technical feasibility

@Vordus also either way it's great news for clone hero players

@noiob oh, yeah no absolutely. Presumably Rock Band too, since it's been the best part of a decade since the last music controller.
