@monorail there's also people who only use 32-bit Windows because 'x64 is bloat' and then complain whenever software drops 32-bit support. equally fascinating bunch
@noiob@omni@monorail is it bad that i can at least fuck with this logic a little? like it's completely deadass wrong. but i'm pretty sure that the person was stuck in thinking like a computer is a car, going "oh well i don't want to constantly thrash the engine! that'll make everything wear out faster!"
...but hasn't gotten to the point where much like a car, if you have a big engine that can only go fullbore sometimes versus a smaller engine that's always working flat-out, the smaller engine will be going through more wear and tear. so you want a bigger engine on your computer and your car both for longevity.
note: i don't actually know much about cars but i am also stuck in "bless them, they're trying?" lol
