Dug out an old phone I haven't used in years, it's interesting seeing what's cached on it.

There's a cache of my twitter timeline. Remember when that existed? Most of the people on there, I hardly see anymore. They either didn't make it over here or have just been less online in the last few years. I miss some of you.

I've got a cache of mastodon on here too. It's back when I was on elekk.xyz. Quite a few people on here that I still know and see regularly here!

And discord, my friend list is way shorter and a lot of the people on there who are most important to me, I hadn't met yet. The last few years have been really good for friendships. Not much else...

Weirdly only one chat is cached, a random room on a server. Someone on there was talking about their love of Hazbin Hotel.

By the way all the cached data on this phone is from 2019.

I left two notes to myself on this phone. One says "finally, python 2.8", and one lists the cost per weight of a package of frozen burritos. I wonder how much more expensive it is now.

Such a fun "bug" that if you use your own router, it will randomly make said router start working like shit from the interference

I actually had to disable my 5ghz network because there was too much interference on 5ghz from 100 fucking HHs polluting the spectrum. And 5ghz was meant to alleviate this problem!

I'm not kidding btw. I have like 100 neighbours because... there's a lot, and every single house, without exception, is forced to have Bell's shitty router running and polluting the wireless spectrum. Those fucking bastards.

otoh people thought I was stupid for putting ethernet everywhere. MY connection doesn't drop every 5 minutes! unless I'm on my phone...

My grandma, who doesn't have a computer or cell phone, has one of these pieces of crap in her house.
