*really* wanna hold on to my 2020 iphone SE for another year or two, and ideally until I stop getting ios security updates, but if worse comes to worse: is there an android phone that:
- is small, about the same size as an iphone 5
- has a headphone jack
- *isn't* one with an edge-to-edge screen
- doesn't have a hole punch or a notch
- isn't chock full of android shitware
- is maybe waterproof (but i could settle for rain-proof)
- like 400 dollars or so, max (though i could push it a bit if it's the only game in town)
@eclairwolf already failing on the first one, sorry
@eclairwolf if you want a decent Android phone with no fuss your best bet is a Pixel
@eclairwolf there'll be a 8a soon
idk, I never had an issue with palm rejection. The A models have the largest bezels though and a case with a lip might also help
@noiob i do kinda fuck with the zenfone tho
@eclairwolf oh it rules, it's just a generation old and ASUS doesn't have a great track record with software updates
@noiob had a 3a a while ago, and could never hold it right, I'd always get phantom keyboard presses
other than that i didn't hate the pixel experience
if they've got better at palm rejection i might consider whatever the newest a model is
