I'm just amazed at the final boss of Demon Scrolls. It's designed like an MMO dev designs a capstone savage raid, where it gatekeeps you with a hard numbers check and if you can't survive it you don't get to see more.

Having 100%ed the game and run from, at most, a dozen battles, and having the best gear available, and building for survivability, it still OHKOed my entire party by about 10%.

Dev responds to forum posts about this with "You need more levels". Someone mathed out for vee that I'd need 7-10 more levels in a game where I was hitting the final boss at 40.

I won by somehow getting lucky and just skipping that phase with pure damage?
