vampire survivors runs on my laptop. this notable since its vulkan gpu driver only technically exists (well, it works in dolphin...), so the game must be using opengl. basically I think it probably will run on a potato, as long as said potato can handle the bloated mess that is steam: chrome edition

that is a thing. steam's been broken on arm for a while thanks to the chrome dependency. we're at the point where you can get the interface again, but emulating chrome takes all the ram, making playing anything roughly impossible

I do wonder if virtual memory would be just enough to get by for that. but virtual memory isn't the greatest for an sd card which is why pi os doesn't ship with it enabled. and honestly I don't know enough linux magic to change that. it's not something common to do!

maybe if there was some kind of DRAM-to-USB adapter, that'd be helpful

I suppose it might work if you had a pi with 8+GB ram
