@bonzoesc I loved (2016) but Eternal felt like it added where I didn't feel like (2016) was lacking something

I can fire up 1, 2 or 64 any day though

@noiob i think it was id seeing the speedrunner technique of switching weapons every shot and making it a core mechanic that turned mee off eternal

@bonzoesc yeah I just wanna blast everything with big guns and not care too much about strategy

also I found it weird to have Doomguy not care about story in 2016 and then go all in on it in Eternal

@bonzoesc oh yeah and fucking over Mick Gordon, his music was a big part of what made 2016 so memorable to me

@noiob yeah very much this too; i do like andrew hulshult's work and don't blame him for going big, but yeah the treatment of gordon alone might keep me off more doom

@bonzoesc tbh I don't mind that it's not for me because there's enough classic doom to last me for a while, and I haven't even played a lot of quake
