@noiob the thing is I think of it as a Nintendo franchise and I think the last time a Nintendo franchise appeared on something they didn't make was a pokemon edutainment game in the mid 2000s

@noiob true, the mobile games are some odd desperation caused by the market I guess
the Chinese shield was I guess to crack a market and a test of their porting tech, and maybe out of the hw partnership

@onfy kinda wild that Nintendo is the last company that still cares about selling hardware, I think Sony and Microsoft would rather not and Valve just does it because no one else will build what they wanna make
