If I write zeros to an SSD, am I deleting something important, like firmware, or features like TRIM, or whatever makes it fast? Am I making it unmountable/unusable? Do I have to reinstall some proprietary Corsair stuff? This is the first time I have reformatted a drive by writing 0's. (Encrypted drive)

@monstercollie if you write raw zeroes to a drive it'll probably be unmountable, yeah, but you should always be able to reformat it. Everything else won't be affected either.

@noiob ok so just to be clear, I can reformat after writing 0's and it should be fine.

@monstercollie yeah it shouldn't mess anything up
