why do cyberdecks all look the same kind of terrible. my neck hurts just looking at them

@aeva they should come with an xr headset or at least a heads-up display but the tech didn't exist for the longest time I suppose

@noiob @aeva I want one that interface with a mic throat and bone induction speaker built into a cat collar, along with a glove+bracelet that can read hand movement and provide a numpad on the inside of finger you press with your thumb. Ideally, you can use it in crowded public transport while not bothering people around you. I guess the main issue is you need a screen reader for that to works and that not really working on linux. Maybe steamOS would help with that

@noiob @aeva Whatever SteamOS is built on, they recently pushed some accessibilties changes including a screen reader at least for big picture mode. From what I heard, most linux distribution theses days don't have working screen reader.

@gkrnours @aeva BPM is not a general computing mode, it's pretty much only for games, and the desktop mode doesn't even come with Orca preinstalled, which is afaict the only option for Linux screen reading

@noiob :/ I guess steamOS won't help with that use case then.
