@noiob just install a second, older nvidia GPU as a physics accelerator 🙃
@elomatreb you say that as if I hadn't considered it
unfortunately I don't have an old nvidia gpu lying around
@noiob yeah, especially since it also can't be too old (the same driver version needs to support both cards, i.e. I think the 10 series is the oldest you can get away with for now)
@elomatreb I have an AMD card
@elomatreb tbh I'm waiting for ZLUDA implementing support for old PhysX https://github.com/vosen/ZLUDA/milestone/6
@noiob ah ok. I was referencing how nvidia dropped support for 32bit physx (of which mirrors edge is a notable user) with the 50 series, which results in worse performance in ME on a 5090 than like a 580 from 2010
@elomatreb yeah no I've had that experience on my main pc since forever already
@noiob nvidia 😔
@elomatreb apparently using a secondary physx card is also a massive pain https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Mirror%27s_Edge#PhysX_causes_issues
why do I have to accept this I can't even use it
