I am approaching the middle of my 1-month trial of "Fine, I'll try Claude out personally since you all say it's so good" and well...

I feel like every single time I find something useful for one of these AI things to do, it comes back that I'm not paying enough for it. Like, I put a board game rulebook into it and was using it to look up rules and it was great until I found out I had used 70% of my weekly allotment of prompts or whatever in a single day while barely interacting with it.

Most things I can get these things to do, I can use other tools to do better and more efficiently, with fewer errors.

When I find something actually useful it can do, like answer questions from a rulebook with page number references, it costs so much to do that it becomes not worth it.

I know I'm anti-ai, but I do try to have an open mind about these things and gain an understanding of what it is I'm criticizing... and like... I just don't see it.
